Uvita

Rope bridges have been installed along the road stretch between Dominical and Uvita on Costa Rica's southern Pacific coast to reduce wildlife being run over by vehicles. The bridges give monkeys and other animals a safe way to cross above the road, where traffic has fragmented forest habitat and led to frequent roadkill, particularly among primates moving between trees.
