US Navy SEAL

A retired US Navy SEAL says an attempted hijacking aboard a FlyDubai flight demonstrates that the threat of terrorism 'is not over'. He argued the incident should serve as a warning that aviation security and counterterrorism efforts must remain a priority. Details about the hijacking attempt itself, including where it occurred and whether anyone was harmed, were not provided.

A report published by Military.com claims that US military veterans, including former Navy Seals, are training Russians to fight in Ukraine. If confirmed, the alleged involvement of American ex-service members on Moscow's side would mark a striking reversal of the better-documented pattern of Western veterans volunteering to support Ukrainian forces, and could raise legal and diplomatic questions in the United States.
