UNOOSA

World Space Week is being marked around the globe, with the UN Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA) highlighting its decades of work in space affairs. Established after the Soviet Union launched Sputnik in 1957, UNOOSA has tracked more than 77 successful lunar missions and other space journeys, using the annual observance to draw attention to international cooperation in space exploration.
