Tyson Summers

Colorado State's defense collapsed in a blowout defeat to Oregon State, putting coordinator Tyson Summers at the center of fan criticism. The Coloradoan reports the Rams' defensive issues have come to a head, with the unit failing to contain Oregon State's attack. Discussions now focus on whether Summers can turn the defense around or if coaching changes loom.

Colorado State dismissed defensive coordinator Tyson Summers during the first quarter of its 30-point loss to Oregon State, an unusually public mid-game firing in college football. Head coach Jim Mora made the move with the Rams being overwhelmed defensively, drawing attention for its rarity and timing, as coaching changes almost never happen while a game is still in progress.
