Traunstein

The Aujeszky virus, also known as pseudorabies, has been detected in wild boar in the Traunstein district of Bavaria. The disease is fatal to pigs but harmless to humans. The head of the Bavarian Hunting Association has assessed the situation, and hunters and pig farmers in the region are following the news closely.
