Stubai Alps

Photographers are sharing striking images of the Rote Wand in Austria's Stubai Alps, where intense golden hour and alpenglow light has turned the peaks a deep fiery orange. The dramatic sunsets are being described with the phrase 'watching the world burn', a common tongue-in-cheek caption for intensely red evening light rather than any actual fire. The images celebrate the alpine landscape at its most theatrical.
