Statue of Liberty

ABC News anchor David Muir climbed up to the Statue of Liberty's torch as part of the network's coverage of America 250, the upcoming 250th anniversary of US independence in 2026. The torch has been closed to the public since 1916, making any visit there rare, and the segment offered viewers an unusual look inside one of America's most iconic landmarks.
