Simões

Gubernatorial candidate Simões cast his vote in Belo Horizonte and told reporters that Minas Gerais voters are a 'conservative people' who will elect Flávio, according to Metrópoles. The remark, made on election day in the state capital, is drawing attention as voters weigh whether it reflects respect for the electorate or an off-message comment in a competitive race for the Minas Gerais governorship.
