STJD

Brazilian media are reporting on Corinthians' search for a new head coach, with names such as Ramón Díaz circulating. CNN Brasil notes that Díaz carries an active suspension from the STJD, Brazil's sports court, complicating any move. Interest is also turning to Argentine coach Zubeldia as the club weighs its options.

Brazil's Superior Court of Sports Justice (STJD) has archived its investigation into Fluminense midfielder Lucho Acosta over alleged involvement with betting. The case, which had raised concerns about the Argentine playmaker's role in the club's season, is now closed without sanctions. Fans and sports media are discussing what the decision means for Acosta and Fluminense going forward.
