SMU Mustangs

SMU is finding ways to win despite unconvincing performances, and the timing could not be better with the season reaching its decisive stretch. Commentators note the Mustangs are grinding out results rather than dominating, which keeps them in contention even when the play is far from polished. Whether that style holds up against tougher opposition remains the big question.

The son of an NBA Hall of Fame member has committed to play college basketball at SMU, according to recruitment news outlet Zagsblog. The commitment adds a notable name to the Mustangs' recruiting class, though the specific player and his Hall of Fame parent are not identified in available reports. Recruiting commitments involving famous NBA family names typically draw wide attention from college basketball fans.
