Route 28

A Singapore-flagged container ship has sunk near the Strait of Hormuz after being hit by a projectile, according to a report circulating among military affairs commentators. The sinking is described as the second vessel confirmed lost since the start of the U.S. war against Iran on February 28. The strait is a critical artery for global oil and container shipping, and any attack on commercial vessels there raises alarm about the safety of maritime traffic and a wider escalation in the region.
