Robben Island Guidelines

The African Commission on Human and Peoples' Rights has published the second edition of the Robben Island Guidelines for the Prohibition and Prevention of Torture in Africa. The guidelines set out standards for African states on preventing torture, investigating abuses and protecting victims, and serve as the continent's key regional framework on the issue.
