Pitchshifter

The British industrial metal band Pitchshifter is drawing renewed attention to their track 'Please Sir', which tackles racism head-on with lyrics asking why there is no black Superman and mocking claims that 'God only makes Caucasian super-heroes'. Listeners sharing the song frame it as a pointed critique of white supremacy and organized religion's role in justifying racial hierarchy.
