Ofer Cassif

Israel's Supreme Court has overturned the election committee's ban on Arab political parties ahead of the election. The court reinstated two Arab lists and Jewish Knesset member Ofer Cassif as a candidate for Balad, reversing the disqualifications that had barred them from standing. The ruling restores their right to contest seats in the Knesset and is being closely watched amid ongoing debate over the political rights of Arab citizens in Israel.
