Newent

parkrun events across Britain drew attention this weekend. Newent's parkrun welcomed 70 runners on Saturday morning, while Lews Castle parkrun in Stornoway celebrated its 250th event, marking years of regular 5k running in the community. In Surbiton, families turned out for the junior parkrun, aimed at children. The free, weekly timed runs continue to grow as a grassroots fixture in towns across the country, with organisers and participants sharing their milestones.
