Naoya Masuda

Chiba Lotte Marines pitcher Yuki Karakawa retired with a farewell start against the SoftBank Hawks at Zozo Marine Stadium, striking out a batter on a swing and leaving after one inning. The 19-year veteran called it a performance that 'beautifully represented my 19 years' and thanked same-aged teammate Masuda Naoya, saying he 'held my reins.' Lotte won the game 2-1.
