Mutiny

The Kremlin is handing senior posts to commanders who fought in Ukraine, according to a report, out of fear of a repeat of a 'Prigozhin-style' mutiny. The move recalls Yevgeny Prigozhin's June 2023 armed march on Moscow by Wagner forces, the most serious challenge to Russian leadership in years. Commenters are debating whether elevating battlefield commanders will stabilise the situation or create new rival power centres.

Guy Ritchie's film Mutiny has completed its theatrical run and is now arriving on streaming platforms. The release is drawing attention in the UK, where searches for the director have spiked as audiences look for where and when to watch the movie at home.
