Google has signed its largest rice-methane carbon credit agreement with Indian startup Mitti Labs. The four-year deal will cover rice farms across three Indian states, reaching roughly 100,000 hectares at peak delivery. The partnership aims to cut methane emissions from rice paddies, a significant source of greenhouse gases, while generating credits to offset Google's carbon footprint and support Indian farmers.
