Mathober

The Mathober 2026 art prompt collection has been published on Fractalkitty's site, inviting artists, educators and creative coders to make math-inspired pieces throughout the month. The project blends mathematics with drawing and coding challenges, and early posts sharing the link are drawing attention from the math-art community as participants plan their contributions.

A generative artist has launched this year's Mathober challenge with a Python-coded piece called EllipsesOnLayered, built around the first daily prompt and focusing on ellipses, perimeters and layered geometry. The work is part of the annual month-long event where mathematicians and creative coders share math-inspired art, with the creator posting code and additional images on their blog.
