Mate Rimac, head of the Croatian electric hypercar maker bearing his name, has spoken about why wealthy buyers still tend to choose petrol-powered hypercars over electric ones. Despite his company building some of the fastest electric cars in the world, he acknowledges that the sound, emotion and tradition of combustion engines continue to appeal to collectors and super-rich customers.
