A new survey by travel marketing firm MMGY finds that American travelers are choosing to adjust their spending rather than abandon their trips altogether. Rather than canceling vacations, respondents say they are cutting costs in other ways, such as spending less on lodging, dining or activities. The findings suggest travel remains a priority for US consumers even as they manage tighter household budgets.
