Landsat 9

NASA is celebrating Landsat 9 completing its five-year design life milestone. The Earth-observation satellite, launched to continue the decades-long Landsat programme, has now met its planned operational lifespan while continuing to deliver imagery used to track forests, water, crops and land change worldwide. NASA frames the milestone as a mission success and a sign the spacecraft could keep operating well beyond its designed lifetime.
