Josh Wallace

Rams head coach Sean McVay said the NFL informed him that cornerback Josh Wallace should not have been flagged for pass interference in the closing moments of Sunday night's game. The admission by league officials over a decisive late call is drawing criticism of officiating and questions about the game's outcome.

The NFL has acknowledged to the Los Angeles Rams that a late pass interference penalty, called on Josh Wallace in their loss to the Denver Broncos, was the incorrect call. The admission, reported by The Athletic, will only deepen frustration in Los Angeles, as the controversial flag came late in a game the Rams went on to lose, raising fresh questions about officiating.
