thyssenkrupp Automotive Technology and Inovance Automotive have announced a strategic partnership to jointly develop steer-by-wire technology. The cooperation links the German industrial group's automotive systems business with the Chinese electronics and drivetrain supplier, as both companies push into software-based steering systems that replace mechanical linkages in next-generation vehicles, a fast-growing segment of the electric and autonomous car market.
