Harvard Graduate Students Union

Harvard's graduate student union has voted to authorize a strike and is holding pickets on campus. The vote signals that contract negotiations between the union and Harvard have reached an impasse, raising the prospect of a work stoppage that could disrupt teaching and research. Labor actions at elite universities have drawn national attention in recent years, and the union says it is prepared to walk out if demands are not met.
