G3 (Operations)

The Wisconsin Department of Military Affairs is drawing attention to the G3 Quota Source Manager, a staff position within National Guard operations responsible for managing enlistment and training quotas across units. The role coordinates how quota allocations from higher headquarters are distributed, affecting recruiting pipelines and force readiness. Details beyond the job function remain limited in public materials.

The NOAA Space Weather Prediction Center has issued a forecast warning that strong (G3) geomagnetic storms are expected on October 10, 2026. Such storms can disturb satellite operations, GPS and radio communications, and can push auroras much farther from the poles than usual, drawing wide public and media attention.
