The Festival of Arts is marking its 30th anniversary with an expanded celebration at Downtown Summerlin in Las Vegas this October. The milestone edition is being promoted as a larger event than previous years, drawing attention from local audiences ahead of the fall arts season.

Ravinia Festival, the summer music festival outside Chicago, has received a $38 million gift designated for its Martin Theatre. The donation, reported by OperaWire, is one of the larger recent gifts to a US performing arts venue and will support the theatre that hosts the festival's chamber and opera programming. The festival has not yet detailed how the funds will be used.
