A new joint report by the European Academies Science Advisory Council (EASAC) and the Federation of European Academies of Medicine (FEAM) says artificial intelligence could help Europe deliver safer, higher-quality healthcare per clinician and per euro. The report warns this will only happen if AI tools are clinically validated, transparent, cybersecure and equitable, and it sets out ten policy actions for European policymakers to ensure safe adoption of AI in health systems.
