Donald Knuth

Donald Knuth has long issued personal cheques worth $2.56, one hexadecimal dollar, to anyone who finds an error in his books, and a page collecting examples of these reward checks is drawing attention. Readers are sharing the story of how Knuth mails the checks and why almost nobody cashes them, since they are valued as collectors' items.
