Denzel Dumfries

The Netherlands are preparing to take on Serbia, with attention turning to Denzel Dumfries's call for the Dutch side to tighten up at the back ahead of the match. The fixture is drawing interest across multiple countries, including the Netherlands and the United States, as fans weigh Serbia's threat against a Dutch defence that Dumfries says needs shoring up.

Denzel Dumfries has responded to his reunion with Dusan Tadic, saying the focus was not on a dispute between the two. The Dutch defender and the Serbian veteran previously had a heated rivalry during their time in Dutch football, and their meeting on the pitch drew attention from fans in the Netherlands, with Dumfries insisting any past conflict was not the story of the match.
