Mediocredito Centrale has started exclusive negotiations with Credem for the sale of the former Banca Popolare di Bari, according to La Gazzetta del Mezzogiorno. The talks mark a new step in the restructuring of the Tuscan-lender rescue vehicle's assets, with Credem emerging as the sole bidder for the bank, once part of the troubled Bcc di Bari group.
