Cox Plate

Racing connections are gearing up for the spring carnival with three-year-old Blind Raise, who is being aimed at the Caulfield Guineas with the Cox Plate flagged as a possible long-term goal. Jamie Melham is part of the horse's team, and discussion is focused on whether the promising colt can progress from Guineas level to weight-for-age greatness against older horses in the spring showpiece.

Australian jockey Damian Lane remains in the Cox Plate picture, with Sir Delius and Aeliana both still firmly in contention for the race. Lane has been associated with both horses, keeping him in the spotlight as connections weigh up spring carnival plans. Racing.com reported both remain firmly in the frame for the weight-for-age championship at Moonee Valley.
