Nature enthusiasts are celebrating the golden twin-spot (Chrysodeixis chalcites), a striking migrant moth featured in a popular 'Moth of the Day' post. The species reaches Britain only as an immigrant, with a handful of records each year, mostly in the south. Sussex has counted just 58 official records. Its caterpillars feed on chrysanthemums and viper's bugloss.
