Candy Jacobs

Dutch skateboarder Candy Jacobs, one of the pioneers who brought skateboarding to the Olympic stage, has moved into coaching the next generation of riders. In a new interview she says she is 'exactly where I need to be', reflecting on her career shift and her role in developing young talent for the sport's future.

Candy Jacobs has traded youth work for coaching the next generation of skateboarders, describing her role as all-encompassing: 'I'm like a mom, a mentor, a doctor, a wax carrier.' The former Olympian is helping young riders develop both their skills and confidence, blending care and mentorship with technical coaching in a sport she helped put on the map.
