Bluecore, a startup developing nuclear reactors mounted on barges for maritime use, has purchased its first uranium, a step toward fuelling its planned floating nuclear plants. The purchase signals the company is moving from design toward deployment of small reactors at sea, an emerging field aimed at delivering power to ports, islands and coastal industry.
