Berbera

Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud has rejected a reported proposal for an Israeli naval base in Berbera, saying in an exclusive interview that Somalia will not accept any Israeli presence on its territory. The statement marks a firm public refusal of expanding Israeli military reach in the Horn of Africa and is drawing attention across diplomatic circles.
