BNG

A protest against a visit by Santiago Abascal, leader of Vox, to A Coruña ended in a pitched battle in María Pita square, with at least two people detained, La Voz de Galicia reports. The confrontation is drawing attention in Galicia, where tensions around the far-right leader's appearances have repeatedly sparked clashes, and the Galician nationalist party BNG is also being mentioned in connection with the unrest.
