A library board election is due next month in which a temporarily appointed member is running for a permanent seat. The race features two slates of candidates, one described as pro-First Amendment, and a fundraising page tied to the 'Fight for the First' campaign is being shared to support one side. The contest reflects broader national fights over library content and censorship, with supporters mobilizing donations ahead of the vote.
