Almada

River Plate defeated Belgrano 3-0, with Almada standing out by dribbling past defenders and finishing a spectacular goal to make it 3-0. Highlights of the strike are being widely shared, and the result is drawing searches across Argentina and beyond.

Guillermo Almada has prepared Israel Reyes to start despite his status as a World Cup squad player, but questions are being raised over whether Reyes will actually be in the starting XI when Club América face Rayados de Monterrey. Mexican football outlets are debating the reasons a recently crowned world-team player might sit on the bench for such a high-profile league clash.
