Al-Bureij

Artillery shelling has been reported in the northern part of the Al-Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza, according to a local report. The camp, home to a large displaced population, has seen repeated strikes during the ongoing conflict. No casualty figures or further details were immediately available, and residents continue to describe deteriorating safety conditions across the territory.

Reports from Gaza describe tank fire directed at tents sheltering displaced people in Al-Mawasi, west of Khan Younis, alongside helicopter fire north-east of Al-Bureij camp, tank fire near the Bani Suheila roundabout, and an artillery strike east of Khan Younis. Al-Mawasi had been designated a humanitarian zone, making reports of strikes on tents there especially alarming.

Reports from Gaza say Israeli tanks opened fire and demolitions were carried out north of Al-Bureij camp, with additional demolition activity detected in the north-eastern area of the camp. The alerts, relayed by the Palestinian news outlet RNN, describe what is characterised as punitive demolition of homes amid the ongoing military operation in the central Gaza Strip.
