A/SIDE

A/SIDE is a new social service combining private photo sharing with encrypted messaging, positioning itself as a privacy-focused alternative to mainstream photo platforms. The project is drawing attention among technology enthusiasts interested in secure communication tools, though details about the company behind it, its funding, and its data practices remain limited so far.

A/SIDE has launched a private photo sharing service that pairs encrypted chat functionality with openly published source code. Users can share images in private conversations protected by end-to-end encryption, while the open-source approach allows independent review of how the platform handles data. The move taps into ongoing demand for privacy-focused alternatives to mainstream social media and photo sharing apps.
