visual illusion

Researchers at the University of Essex report that butterflies evade predators using optical illusions. The study suggests wing patterns create visual effects that confuse attacking birds long enough for the butterfly to escape. The findings are being shared and discussed on tech and science forums, drawing attention to how deception evolved in insect defense strategies.
