Michigan officials have confirmed the presence of the invasive spotted lanternfly in Berrien County, in the state's southwest. The insect, which threatens grapes, fruit trees and other crops, has been spreading across the eastern United States. Residents are being urged to report sightings and destroy the insects and their egg masses to slow the spread.
