pool robot

Amazon is offering a $550 discount on a robotic pool cleaner, with the deal drawing attention to the device's long battery life, which requires infrequent recharging. Retail coverage highlights the steep markdown on the cordless cleaner, suggesting shoppers looking to automate pool maintenance ahead of the swimming season may want to act on the limited-time price cut.

A pool owner found the robot cleaner's drive so worn that the propeller kept slipping, and responded by designing a replacement part in FreeCAD and 3D printing it. The new orange drive spins constantly and engages the propeller through a helical dog clutch, so the propeller only turns when the two parts lock together. The post shows the finished fix, drawing attention for its neat engineering approach to repair rather than replacement.

A CNET reviewer reports that their Dolphin robotic pool cleaner has kept their pool spotless for two years without any problems. The write-up highlights the device's reliability and low maintenance, positioning it as a durable option among pool-cleaning robots. The piece is drawing attention from shoppers weighing a long-term investment in automated pool care.

A pool-cleaning robot has been unveiled that can visually detect dirt and prioritise the dirtiest areas of a pool first. Reports describe the device as able to 'see' grime rather than following a random cleaning pattern, promising faster and more efficient pool maintenance. The launch is drawing attention in consumer robotics coverage.
