oarfish

Engineers have developed a large underwater robot modelled on the oarfish, a long, ribbon-like deep-sea fish known for its distinctive dorsal fin. The design draws on the fish's fin-based propulsion to enable efficient movement at scale. Details of the robot's capabilities and intended applications have not been fully outlined in the available reporting.
