- 1Citizen science project reveals how grasses adapt to environments●‘Citizen science’ drives understanding of how grasses adapt to their environment
Researchers at Washington State University are using citizen science to advance understanding of how grasses adapt to their environment. Volunteers contribute observations that help scientists study grass adaptation across different conditions, expanding the data available beyond what research teams could collect alone. The initiative highlights the growing role of public participation in environmental and botanical research.
- 2Citizen science project enlists volunteers to hunt black holes▼Citizen science project recruits volunteers to search for undiscovered black holes
A citizen science project is recruiting volunteers to help search for previously undiscovered black holes. Participants will assist researchers by analysing data that could reveal the hidden cosmic objects, an approach that has proven useful in astronomy before. The call for public participation is drawing attention as an accessible way for anyone to contribute to real scientific discovery.
