A bridge strike has closed eastbound lanes of Interstate 20 and lanes on Loop 250 in the Midland-Odessa area of West Texas. The closure followed a collision that damaged the bridge, prompting emergency response and traffic diversions. Officials have not immediately said how long repairs will take, and drivers in the Permian Basin are being urged to use alternate routes while the lanes remain shut.
