Video Crypt

An art installation called the Video Crypt has opened in Denton, Texas, recreating the experience of a video rental store at a time when such shops have all but disappeared. The project revives the rituals of browsing shelves and renting tapes as a form of nostalgic art, drawing attention from local audiences interested in retro culture and the preservation of dead media formats.
