Unmanned Systems Forces of Ukraine

Ukraine has deployed ground robots and other unmanned systems in an offensive that analysts say has rolled back roughly a year of Russian territorial gains. The Atlantic Council highlights the operation as evidence that innovative, low-cost robotic warfare is reshaping the battlefield, allowing Ukrainian forces to press forward while reducing troop exposure to drones and artillery.

Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces say their units struck or destroyed 1,974 Russian targets over the past 24 hours. The claimed tally includes around 502 enemy personnel, of whom 207 were reported killed, as well as 34 drone launch sites and 13 radar or electronic reconnaissance stations. The figures come from the Ukrainian military and have not been independently verified.

Northrop Grumman says it will accelerate development of extended-range counter-unmanned aircraft system (C-UAS) missile technology for the US Army. The move aims to give American forces longer-range options against the growing drone threat, an area of intense focus for militaries worldwide following drone use in Ukraine and attacks on shipping in the Red Sea.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces say they have used an amphibious ground robot to deliver military logistics for the first time, with the unmanned vehicle covering a distance of more than 40 kilometers. The mission reportedly demonstrated the ability to move supplies across difficult terrain without exposing drivers to Russian fire. Ukrainian outlets are highlighting the deployment as another step in the rapid adoption of unmanned systems for battlefield logistics.
