Tikhoretsk

Ukrainian attack drones hit Russia's Samara oil pumping station on Thursday morning, sparking a large fire at the facility. The station is a critical hub on the Druzhba and Kuibyshev–Tikhoretsk pipelines, handling the mixing and transfer of Kazakh and Siberian crude westward for export. The strike marks an escalation in Ukraine's campaign against Russian oil export infrastructure, with analysts noting potential disruption to transited Kazakh oil as well.

The name of Tikhoretsk, a town in Russia's Krasnodar region, is being widely searched. Interest comes against the background of regional safety news: regional outlet Vedomosti Yug reports that a fire at an oil depot in the Pavlovsky district of Kuban has been extinguished. No confirmed details about events in Tikhoretsk itself are given in available reports.
